Yichus / Reference / API MCP tools
api_glance
Compare several programs side by side on one scale: vocabulary share, abstraction layers and mass, duplication and clone pairs, declared mutation flows. Every channel shares one scale across the programs, rows are in name order, and the rendering is deterministic ASCII. Each program is compiled separately with builtin shadowing, so a program that declares a Yichus/* package is read as its own version of it. Use api_organize with the map lens for one program in depth; this is the across-programs view. Same job as yichus glance --program name=files.
Kind: Glance. Origin: Yichus/Mcp::catalog.
CLI: yichus glance — the same across-programs comparison over GlanceStats and GlanceCompareAscii; the CLI's --program name=files is the tool's programs array.
Parameters
programs(required, array) — JSON array of {name, sources} where sources is the usual array of {fileName, source}. At least one; each is compiled on its own.title(optional, string) — Optional title for the comparison header (default: the program names).
Read the result according to this tool’s scope: static checks, bounded execution checks, and descriptive diagrams answer different questions. A successful call is not a general approval of the program. The safety and permissions guide compares the checks and provides editable ownership, guard, and role examples.
