api_diff

Structurally diff two versions of a program binding by binding, from the typed IR rather than the text: what changed inside each binding and where. With verdict, returns the PR-diff dossier instead of the raw report. Both versions are Bosatsu sources, not serialized profiles. Same job as yichus diff.

Kind: StructuralDiff. Origin: Yichus/Mcp::catalog.

CLI: yichus diff — the same StructuralDiff and DiffDossier over two program versions; both sides take Bosatsu sources, the CLI as two paths it compiles.

Parameters

• before_sources (required, array) — JSON array of {fileName, source} for the BEFORE version.
• after_sources (required, array) — JSON array of {fileName, source} for the AFTER version.
• verdict (optional, boolean) — Emit the PR-diff dossier verdict (artifact contract) instead of the raw structural report.

Read the result according to this tool’s scope: static checks, bounded execution checks, and descriptive diagrams answer different questions.
